النَّبِيُّ أَوْلَىٰ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ ۖ وَأَزْوَاجُهُ أُمَّهَاتُهُمْ ۗ وَأُولُو الْأَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِبَعْضٍ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُهَاجِرِينَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَفْعَلُوا إِلَىٰ أَوْلِيَائِكُمْ مَعْرُوفًا ۚ كَانَ ذَٰلِكَ فِي الْكِتَابِ مَسْطُورًا
The Prophet is closer to the believers than their ownselves, and his wives are their (believers') mothers (as regards respect and marriage). And blood relations among each other have closer personal ties in the Decree of Allâh (regarding inheritance) than (the brotherhood of) the believers and the Muhajirûn (emigrants from Makkah), except that you do kindness to those brothers (when the Prophet SAW joined them in brotherhood ties). This has been written in the (Allâh's Book of Divine) Decrees (Al¬Lauh Al¬Mahfûz)."
নবী মুমিনদের নিকট তাদের নিজেদের অপেক্ষা অধিক ঘনিষ্ঠ এবং তাঁর স্ত্রীগণ তাদের মাতা। আল্লাহর বিধান অনুযায়ী মুমিন ও মুহাজিরগণের মধ্যে যারা আত্নীয়, তারা পরস্পরে অধিক ঘনিষ্ঠ। তবে তোমরা যদি তোমাদের বন্ধুদের প্রতি দয়া-দাক্ষিণ্য করতে চাও, করতে পার। এটা লওহে-মাহফুযে লিখিত আছে।
