قَالَ إِنَّ فِيهَا لُوطًا ۚ قَالُوا نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ فِيهَا ۖ لَنُنَجِّيَنَّهُ وَأَهْلَهُ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ
Ibrâhim (Abraham) said: "But there is Lut (Lot) in it." They said:"We know better who is there, we will verily save him [Lut (Lot)] and his family, except his wife, she will be of those who remain behind (i.e. she will be destroyed along with those who will be destroyed from her folk)."
সে বলল, এই জনপদে তো লূতও রয়েছে। তারা বলল, সেখানে কে আছে, তা আমরা ভাল জানি। আমরা অবশ্যই তাকে ও তাঁর পরিবারবর্গকে রক্ষা করব তাঁর স্ত্রী ব্যতীত; সে ধ্বংসপ্রাপ্তদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত থাকবে।
