وَإِذَا مَا أُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ نَظَرَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَىٰ بَعْضٍ هَلْ يَرَاكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفُوا ۚ صَرَفَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَوْمٌ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ
And whenever there comes down a Sûrah (chapter from the Qur'ân), they look at one another (saying): "Does any one see you?" Then they turn away. Allâh has turned their hearts (from the light) because they are a people that understand not.
আর যখনই কোন সূরা অবতীর্ণ হয়, তখন তারা একে অন্যের দিকে তাকায় যে, কোন মুসলমান তোমাদের দেখছে কি-না-অতঃপর সরে পড়ে। আল্লাহ ওদের অন্তরকে সত্য বিমুখ করে দিয়েছেন! নিশ্চয়ই তারা নির্বোধ সম্প্রদায়।
