Surat al-Qamar (The Moon) - ٤٥ - سورة القمر

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ
The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder (the people of Makkah requested Prophet Muhammad SAW to show them a miracle, so he showed them the splitting of the moon).
কেয়ামত আসন্ন, চন্দ্র বিদীর্ণ হয়েছে।
وَإِنْ يَرَوْا آيَةً يُعْرِضُوا وَيَقُولُوا سِحْرٌ مُسْتَمِرٌّ
And if they see a sign, they turn away, and say: "This is continuous magic."
তারা যদি কোন নিদর্শন দেখে তবে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয় এবং বলে, এটা তো চিরাগত জাদু।
وَكَذَّبُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُسْتَقِرٌّ
They belied (the Verses of Allâh, this Qur'ân), and followed their own lusts. And every matter will be settled [according to the kind of deeds (good deeds will take their doers to Paradise, and similarly evil deeds will take their doers to Hell)].
তারা মিথ্যারোপ করছে এবং নিজেদের খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করছে। প্রত্যেক কাজ যথাসময়ে স্থিরীকৃত হয়।
وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ مِنَ الْأَنْبَاءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ
And indeed there has come to them news (in this Qur'ân) wherein there is (enough warning) to check (them from evil),
তাদের কাছে এমন সংবাদ এসে গেছে, যাতে সাবধানবাণী রয়েছে।
حِكْمَةٌ بَالِغَةٌ ۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ النُّذُرُ
Perfect wisdom (this Qur'ân), but (the preaching of) warners benefit them not,
এটা পরিপূর্ণ জ্ঞান, তবে সতর্ককারীগণ তাদের কোন উপকারে আসে না।
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ ۘ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ الدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَيْءٍ نُكُرٍ
So (O Muhammad SAW) withdraw from them. The Day that the caller will call (them) to a terrible thing.
অতএব, আপনি তাদের থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিন। যেদিন আহবানকারী আহবান করবে এক অপ্রিয় পরিণামের দিকে,
خُشَّعًا أَبْصَارُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ الْأَجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌ مُنْتَشِرٌ
They will come forth, with humbled eyes from (their) graves as if they were locusts spread abroad,
তারা তখন অবনমিত নেত্রে কবর থেকে বের হবে বিক্ষিপ্ত পংগপাল সদৃশ।
مُهْطِعِينَ إِلَى الدَّاعِ ۖ يَقُولُ الْكَافِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌ
Hastening towards The caller, the disbelievers will say: "This is a hard Day."
তারা আহবানকারীর দিকে দৌড়াতে থাকবে। কাফেরা বলবেঃ এটা কঠিন দিন।
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا مَجْنُونٌ وَازْدُجِرَ
The people of Nûh (Noah) denied (their Messenger) before them, They rejected Our slave, and said: "A madman!" and he was insolently rebuked and threatened.
তাদের পূর্বে নূহের সম্প্রদায়ও মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল। তারা মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল আমার বান্দা নূহের প্রতি এবং বলেছিলঃ এ তো উম্মাদ। তাঁরা তাকে হুমকি প্রদর্শন করেছিল।
فَدَعَا رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَغْلُوبٌ فَانْتَصِرْ
Then he invoked his Lord (saying): "I have been overcome, so help (me)!"
অতঃপর সে তার পালনকর্তাকে ডেকে বললঃ আমি অক্ষম, অতএব, তুমি প্রতিবিধান কর।
فَفَتَحْنَا أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَاءٍ مُنْهَمِرٍ
So We opened the gates of heaven with water pouring forth.
তখন আমি খুলে দিলাম আকাশের দ্বার প্রবল বারিবর্ষণের মাধ্যমে।
وَفَجَّرْنَا الْأَرْضَ عُيُونًا فَالْتَقَى الْمَاءُ عَلَىٰ أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ
And We caused the spring to gush forth from the earth. So the waters (of the heaven and the earth) met for a matter predestined
এবং ভুমি থেকে প্রবাহিত করলাম প্রস্রবণ। অতঃপর সব পানি মিলিত হল এক পরিকম্পিত কাজে।
وَحَمَلْنَاهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلْوَاحٍ وَدُسُرٍ
And We carried him on a (ship) made of planks and nails,
আমি নূহকে আরোহণ করালাম এক কাষ্ঠ ও পেরেক নির্মিত জলযানে।
تَجْرِي بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَاءً لِمَنْ كَانَ كُفِرَ
Floating under Our Eyes, a reward for him who had been rejected!
যা চলত আমার দৃষ্টি সামনে। এটা তার পক্ষ থেকে প্রতিশোধ ছিল, যাকে প্রত্যখ্যান করা হয়েছিল।
وَلَقَدْ تَرَكْنَاهَا آيَةً فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ
And indeed, We have left this as a sign, Then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?
আমি একে এক নিদর্শনরূপে রেখে দিয়েছি। অতএব, কোন চিন্তাশীল আছে কি?
فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ
Then how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings?
কেমন কঠোর ছিল আমার শাস্তি ও সতর্কবাণী।
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ
And We have indeed made the Qur'ân easy to understand and remember, then is there any one who will remember (or receive admonition)?
আমি কোরআনকে সহজ করে দিয়েছি বোঝার জন্যে। অতএব, কোন চিন্তাশীল আছে কি?
كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ
'Ad (people) belied (their Prophet, Hûd), then how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings?
আদ সম্প্রদায় মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল, অতঃপর কেমন কঠোর হয়েছিল আমার শাস্তি ও সতর্কবাণী।
إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ مُسْتَمِرٍّ
Verily, We sent against them a furious wind of harsh voice on a day of evil omen and continuous calamity.
আমি তাদের উপর প্রেরণ করেছিলাম ঝঞ্জাবায়ু এক চিরাচরিত অশুভ দিনে।
تَنْزِعُ النَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ مُنْقَعِرٍ
Plucking out men as if they were uprooted stems of date-palms.
তা মানুষকে উৎখাত করছিল, যেন তারা উৎপাটিত খর্জুর বৃক্ষের কান্ড।
فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ
Then, how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings?
অতঃপর কেমন কঠোর ছিল আমার শাস্তি ও সতর্কবাণী।
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ
And We have indeed made the Qur'ân easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?
আমি কোরআনকে বোঝার জন্যে সহজ করে দিয়েছি। অতএব, কোন চিন্তাশীল আছে কি?
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِالنُّذُرِ
Thamûd (people also) belied the warnings.
সামুদ সম্প্রদায় সতর্ককারীদের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল।
فَقَالُوا أَبَشَرًا مِنَّا وَاحِدًا نَتَّبِعُهُ إِنَّا إِذًا لَفِي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ
And they said: "A man, alone among us — shall we follow him? Truly, then we should be in error and distress or madness!"
তারা বলেছিলঃ আমরা কি আমাদেরই একজনের অনুসরণ করব? তবে তো আমরা বিপথগামী ও বিকার গ্রস্থরূপে গণ্য হব।
أَأُلْقِيَ الذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌ
"Is it that the Reminder is sent to him [Prophet Sâlih A.S.] alone from among us? Nay, he is an insolent liar!"
আমাদের মধ্যে কি তারই প্রতি উপদেশ নাযিল করা হয়েছে? বরং সে একজন মিথ্যাবাদী, দাম্ভিক।
سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَدًا مَنِ الْكَذَّابُ الْأَشِرُ
Tomorrow they will come to know, who is the liar, the insolent one!
এখন আগামীকল্যই তারা জানতে পারবে কে মিথ্যাবাদী, দাম্ভিক।
إِنَّا مُرْسِلُو النَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَهُمْ فَارْتَقِبْهُمْ وَاصْطَبِرْ
Verily, We are sending the she-camel as a test for them. So watch them [O Sâlih (Saleh) A.S.], and be patient!
আমি তাদের পরীক্ষার জন্য এক উষ্ট্রী প্রেরণ করব, অতএব, তাদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য রাখ এবং সবর কর।
وَنَبِّئْهُمْ أَنَّ الْمَاءَ قِسْمَةٌ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ كُلُّ شِرْبٍ مُحْتَضَرٌ
And inform them that the water is to be shared between (her and) them. each one's right to drink being established (by turns).
এবং তাদেরকে জানিয়ে দাও যে, তাদের মধ্যে পানির পালা নির্ধারিত হয়েছে এবং পালাক্রমে উপস্থিত হতে হবে।
فَنَادَوْا صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ
But they called their comrade and he took (a sword) and killed (her).
অতঃপর তারা তাদের সঙ্গীকে ডাকল। সে তাকে ধরল এবং বধ করল।
فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ
Then, how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings?
অতঃপর কেমন কঠোর ছিল আমার শাস্তি ও সতর্কবাণী।
إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَكَانُوا كَهَشِيمِ الْمُحْتَظِرِ
Verily, We sent against them a single Saîhah (torment - awful cry), and they became like the stubble of a fold-builder.
আমি তাদের প্রতি একটিমাত্র নিনাদ প্রেরণ করেছিলাম। এতেই তারা হয়ে গেল শুষ্ক শাখাপল্লব নির্মিত দলিত খোয়াড়ের ন্যায়।
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ
And indeed, We have made the Qur'ân easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?
আমি কোরআনকে বোঝার জন্যে সহজ করে দিয়েছি। অতএব, কোন চিন্তাশীল আছে কি?
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ بِالنُّذُرِ
The people of Lut (Lot) belied the warnings.
লূত-সম্প্রদায় সতর্ককারীদের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল।
إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّا آلَ لُوطٍ ۖ نَجَّيْنَاهُمْ بِسَحَرٍ
Verily, We sent against them a violent storm of stones (which destroyed them all), except the family of Lut (Lot), them We saved in last hour of the night,
আমি তাদের প্রতি প্রেরণ করেছিলাম প্রস্তর বর্ষণকারী প্রচন্ড ঘূর্ণিবায়ু; কিন্তু লূত পরিবারের উপর নয়। আমি তাদেরকে রাতের শেষপ্রহরে উদ্ধার করেছিলাম।
نِعْمَةً مِنْ عِنْدِنَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي مَنْ شَكَرَ
As a Favour from Us, Thus do We reward him who gives thanks (by obeying Us)
আমার পক্ষ থেকে অনুগ্রহ স্বরূপ। যারা কৃতজ্ঞতা স্বীকার করে, আমি তাদেরকে এভাবে পুরস্কৃত করে থকি।
وَلَقَدْ أَنْذَرَهُمْ بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْا بِالنُّذُرِ
And he [Lut (Lot)] indeed had warned them of Our Seizure (punishment), but they did doubt the warnings!
লূত (আঃ) তাদেরকে আমার প্রচন্ড পাকড়াও সম্পর্কে সতর্ক করেছিল। অতঃপর তারা সতর্কবাণী সম্পর্কে বাকবিতন্ডা করেছিল।
وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدُوهُ عَنْ ضَيْفِهِ فَطَمَسْنَا أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ
And they indeed sought to shame his guest (by asking to commit sodomy with them). So We blinded their eyes, (saying) "Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings."
তারা লূতের (আঃ) কাছে তার মেহমানদেরকে দাবী করেছিল। তখন আমি তাদের চক্ষু লোপ করে দিলাম। অতএব, আস্বাদন কর আমার শাস্তি ও সতর্কবাণী।
وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُمْ بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُسْتَقِرٌّ
And verily, an abiding torment seized them early in the morning.
তাদেরকে প্রত্যুষে নির্ধারিত শাস্তি আঘাত হেনেছিল।
فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ
"Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings."
অতএব, আমার শাস্তি ও সতর্কবাণী আস্বাদন কর।
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ
And indeed, We have made the Qur'ân easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?
আমি কোরআনকে বোঝবার জন্যে সহজ করে দিয়েছি। অতএব, কোন চিন্তাশীল আছে কি?
وَلَقَدْ جَاءَ آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ النُّذُرُ
And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Mûsa (Moses) and Hârûn (Aaron)].
ফেরাউন সম্প্রদায়ের কাছেও সতর্ককারীগণ আগমন করেছিল।
كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍ مُقْتَدِرٍ
(They) belied all Our Signs, so We seized them with a Seizure of the All-Mighty, All-Capable (Omnipotent).
তারা আমার সকল নিদর্শনের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল। অতঃপর আমি পরাভূতকারী, পরাক্রমশালীর ন্যায় তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করলাম।
أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أُولَٰئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُمْ بَرَاءَةٌ فِي الزُّبُرِ
Are your disbelievers (O Quraish!) better than these [nations of Nûh (Noah), Lut (Lot), Sâlih, and the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), who were destroyed)? Or have you an immunity (against Our Torment) in the Divine Scriptures?
তোমাদের মধ্যকার কাফেররা কি তাদের চাইতে শ্রেষ্ঠ ? না তোমাদের মুক্তির সনদপত্র রয়েছে কিতাবসমূহে?
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌ مُنْتَصِرٌ
Or say they: "We are a great multitude, victorious.?"
না তারা বলে যে, আমারা এক অপরাজেয় দল?
سَيُهْزَمُ الْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ الدُّبُرَ
Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs.
এ দল তো সত্ত্বরই পরাজিত হবে এবং পৃষ্ঠপ্রদর্শন করবে।
بَلِ السَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَالسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ
Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter.
বরং কেয়ামত তাদের প্রতিশ্রুত সময় এবং কেয়ামত ঘোরতর বিপদ ও তিক্ততর।
إِنَّ الْمُجْرِمِينَ فِي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ
Verily, the Mujrimûn (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals) are in error (in this world) and will burn (in the Hell-fire in the Hereafter).
নিশ্চয় অপরাধীরা পথভ্রষ্ট ও বিকারগ্রস্ত।
يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِي النَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا مَسَّ سَقَرَ
The Day they will be dragged on their faces into the Fire (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!"
যেদিন তাদেরকে মুখ হিঁচড়ে টেনে নেয়া হবে জাহান্নামে, বলা হবেঃ অগ্নির খাদ্য আস্বাদন কর।
إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَاهُ بِقَدَرٍ
Verily, We have created all things with Qadar (Divine Preordainments of all things before their creation, as written in the Book of Decrees Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz).
আমি প্রত্যেক বস্তুকে পরিমিতরূপে সৃষ্টি করেছি।
وَمَا أَمْرُنَا إِلَّا وَاحِدَةٌ كَلَمْحٍ بِالْبَصَرِ
And Our Commandment is but one, as the twinkling of an eye.
আমার কাজ তো এক মুহূর্তে চোখের পলকের মত।
وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ
And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?
আমি তোমাদের সমমনা লোকদেরকে ধ্বংস করেছি, অতএব, কোন চিন্তাশীল আছে কি?
وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ فَعَلُوهُ فِي الزُّبُرِ
And everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds).
তারা যা কিছু করেছে, সবই আমলনামায় লিপিবদ্ধ আছে।
وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍ وَكَبِيرٍ مُسْتَطَرٌ
And everything, small and big, is written down (in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz already beforehand i.e. before it befalls, or is done by its doer: الإيمان بالقدر) (See the Qur'ân V.57:22 and its footnote).
ছোট ও বড় সবই লিপিবদ্ধ।
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَهَرٍ
Verily, The Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2), will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise).
খোদাভীরুরা থাকবে জান্নাতে ও নির্ঝরিণীতে।
